Services Coordinator

Purpose of the Position: To provide
counseling and other support for tenants and their children at a
Sojourner House supportive housing facility
Major
Job Responsibilities:
*Provides counseling to tenants in areas such as parenting, money
management, substance abuse/mental health support, problem solving,
conflict resolution, etc.
*Ensures that the basic needs of all tenants are met
*Provides case management services focusing on goals contained in
individual Family Service Plans.
*Plans and implements tenant community activities including childrens
activities and programs.
*Plans and provides for tenant educational programs
*Conducts apartment safety and cleanliness checks
*Works with volunteers as needed to facilitate programs
*Works cooperatively with property management staff on site management
*Develops community connections that foster safety and upkeep
*Contacts tenants who are late with or behind in rent
*Reports to Housing Opportunities (HOP) as necessary
*Completes monthly outreach tracking reports
*Completes Client Data Updates
*Provides ongoing crisis management and mediation
Educational/Experiential Requirement:
Bachelors Degree with leadership
experience preferred; knowledge of substance abuse issues, familiarity
with community resources, and ability to make linkages that foster
community development required
