| Giving Opportunities
Many individuals and groups have generously donated money, goods and services to Sojourner House. As the number of women and children we serve continues to grow, our resource needs continue to grow as well. There are many ways you can help us achieve our goals.

Annual Fund
Your gift to the annual fund helps women and families in need build stable, productive lives by supporting ongoing operations at Sojourner House.
Honor and Memorial Gifts
Honor and Memorial gifts recognize loved ones and friends and help the women and children served by Sojourner House. Each gift receives a special acknowledgement from the President and a list of these special gifts is periodically listed in Sojourner House Publications.
Endowment Gifts
The Fairchild Endowment Fund, named for Virginia Fairchild, a co-founder of Sojourner House, was established in 1978 to serve as a permanent source of financial strength to secure the future of Sojourner House and its mission to provide shelter, structure, strength, and inspiration to women and children in need so they are prepared to lead responsible and meaning lives. Your gift to the Fairchild Endowment Fund will assure that Sojourner House will continue to serve women and children in need for many years to come.
Bequests/Planned Gifts
As Sojourner House continues to experience decreased government funding, and increased competition for corporate and foundation support, planned giving is essential to its continued financial strength. You may designate your bequest or other planned gift to Sojourner House general operating funds or the Fairchild Endowment Fund.
The Nancy Watson Dean Society, named for a co-founder of Sojourner House, was formed to recognize those who have provided for the future of Sojourner House through their estate plans. You can become a member of the Society by naming Sojourner House in your will or making another planned gift. If you have already included Sojourner House in your estate plans, please contact Deborah McAuley, Director of Administration, at (585) 436-7100, Ext. 104. The information you share with us will be kept confidential, and we will maintain your anonymity if you wish.
